Counselling You & Me
After our brief introduction by telephone, email or text, I will then suggest an appointment to meet and assess whether counselling could be the right form of support for you.
Within this meeting we can check together to see whether you feel comfortable both with the therapeutic process and working together. This time also provides a great opportunity to ask any questions that you feel uncertain about.
At this stage of connecting there is no obligation to commit to additional sessions as you may need further time to reflect before commiting fully to the counselling process.
If on the day you do wish to continue then we can check availability and pre-schedule a further appointment for you.
If additional support was requested or needed to compliment our work then I would be able with your permission to assist with referral to other appropriate services
Confidentiality & Supervision of Practice
As with all BACP registered counsellors I adhere to the BACP Code of Ethics and Practice which requires counsellors to meet, on a regular basis, with a MBACP (Accred) supervisor to ensure the quality and effectiveness of my work is maintained to the highest level thereby ensuring a high standard of care to clients. Information shared within sessions would be kept confidential. However, as required by law there are certain exceptions that would be clarified with you at your first counselling session.
Day appointment: £60.00
Evening appointment: £70.00
Child & Adolescent Therapy appointment: £70.00
I also reserve a few sessions for low cost counselling for those in receipt of benefits or on low incomes and would welcome your interest.
I ask if you are unable to make a scheduled appointment or arrive on the time agreed that you contact me directly to advise of your situation.
Cancellation terms can be discussed openly on the initial consultation meeting so everyone is in agreement before therapy commences.
